How to Buy a Roblox Game
Compare available games, verify evidence and agree the acquisition scope before using the payment and ownership-transfer workflow.

Choose an opportunity you can operate
Define a budget for both acquisition and ongoing work. Play the experience on the devices your intended audience uses. Consider maintenance, moderation, contractor costs and updates, rather than relying on lifetime visits alone.
Compare current public listings by status and sale mode. An asking price is an invitation to consider a deal, not an independently verified valuation or completed sale.
Ask for evidence that answers a decision
Request dated revenue and cost records, comparable audience ranges and the inventory of included assets. Explain which uncertainty each request resolves. Keep confidential exports in the deal discussion rather than copying them into public comments.
Check the current owner and transfer destination separately from developer access. Ownership verification does not establish rights to every script, model or soundtrack.
Test your assumptions
Hypothetical example: a game has strong weekend activity but weak weekday activity. A buyer examines a complete week and the cost of the event that produced the peak before deciding whether the asking price fits their operating plan. The example is not a completed transaction.
Treat missing records as uncertainty. A calculator estimate, screenshot or confident seller statement is not a substitute for evidence.
Agree the scope before committing funds
Record the universe, transfer type, included assets, exclusions and destination. Decide how necessary dependencies will be made usable by the receiving owner. Use the due-diligence checklist to keep unresolved issues visible.
Roblox technical transfer support does not mean it endorses outside sales or will enforce the agreement. Read the official restrictions and DevDeal terms.
Follow the deal state
In a supported USD deal, use the payment and transfer steps displayed by DevDeal. Do not treat a payment screenshot as confirmation or assume a seller has settled because ownership changed. Keep the agreed scope and any problem in the deal record.
After receiving the experience, check access and the agreed operational handover. Report discrepancies with concrete evidence. Review and refunds depend on the deal state and available funds; no universal reimbursement or chargeback guarantee is offered.
Payment and transfer
Card payments are processed by Stripe. DevDeal tracks confirmed payment and guides the seller through the Roblox transfer. Roblox performs the ownership change; DevDeal checks the expected game or group and receiving destination.
Protection and release
The standard Stripe workflow starts a 24-hour protection period after transfer verification. A successful final ownership check and the required financial checks are needed before seller settlement. Payout readiness is not a promise that funds will reach the seller’s bank at that time. Review, provider failures or unresolved disputes can delay settlement. Report a problem to support or in the existing Discord deal ticket, quoting your deal reference. Historical sales do not necessarily follow this current protection workflow.
USD fees and selling promotion
The seller’s promotion covers their first $1,000 of cumulative USD sales. Buying does not use your selling allowance. The seller’s remaining allowance makes that portion free of DevDeal fees for both participants. On the uncovered portion, the buyer pays 5% and the seller pays 5%. External payment costs apply separately, including during the promotion.
What verification does not cover
Checking Roblox ownership does not verify copyright, asset provenance or licenses for scripts, models, music or other content. Buyers and sellers must establish what is included and check the rights involved. DevDeal does not guarantee game quality, revenue, buyer satisfaction, reimbursement or protection from every chargeback.
